CONGRATULATIONS !

You and three of your classmates have been chosen to create and produce a movie. Since it is your first movie, you will be operating on a low budget. You cannot afford to hire any outside help and will be forced to be your own writers, actors, illustrators, editors, and cameramen/women as well as promoter.

PROCESS
  1. Give your Production Company a name ( in Spanish)
  2. Storyboard
  3. Script writing
  4. Filming
  5. Movie poster
Production Company Name
  1. Give your production company a creative name in Spanish.
  2. Research the name. Use an online dictionary if necessary. ( http://www.wordreference.com/ )
  3. Receive approval of name from your teacher.
Story Board
  1. Create a story board with at least 8 illustrations.
  2. Each team member is responsible for 2 illustrations.
  3. Story Board can be hand drawn or computer illustrated.
Script writing
  1. Your team will be writing the script for your upcoming movie.
  2. Your movie needs a catchy title.
  3. The script will need to include as many of the listed words as possible.
  4. Insert your own vocabulary list here...
  5. Script will be written in class.
  6. Each team member will contribute.
Filming
  1. Each film crew needs to consist of two actors, one cameraman or woman, and one director/ narrator.
  2. Using your story board, film the movie. Each scene needs to be represented.
  3. Dialog between actors and narration need to be included in your movie.
Movie Poster
  1. Movie poster to be created on a poster board
  2. Must include title, actors, credits
  3. Illustration or photo supporting title of movie
Evaluation

You will be graded as a team as well as individually, depending on your contribution and performance.

  1. Each team member will hand in a minimum of two story board illustrations.
  2. One script per team will be handed in to teacher for evaluation before filming can start
  3. Movie will be evaluated based on clarity of dialog of actors and narrator, as well as filming. Filming should include change of angles, close-ups, overall feel of movie and length (not too long and not too short). It needs to be evident that each team member contributed equally.
  4. Movie poster will receive a team grade. Special attention will be given to creativity, effort, neatness and overall look of the poster
  5. Peer evaluation.
    Each student will write an evaluation of his/her peers and their contribution to the project.
